THE SAVVY PROGRAM

ABOUT THE PROGRAM

The SAVVY Program is a prevention program which equips and empowers youth with the knowledge and tools to keep themselves and their friends safe from sexual exploitation and sex trafficking.

The SAVVY Program offers a 10-week prevention group for female youth aged 12-18 using the My Life My Choice Prevention Curriculum.

WHAT IS INCLUDED?

Variety of interactive and fun educational material and activities suited to all learning styles, including: 

  • Ice Breakers
  • Group Activities
  • Storytelling
  • Discussions
  • Journalling & Reflection

Each group is co-facilitated by two trained and certified facilitators and includes: 

  • A Clinician
  • A Survivor of Sex Trafficking 

Transportation to and from group can be arranged. Groups meet for 90 minutes each week for 10 weeks.

Participants receive a weekly honorarium for attending. 

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?

  • Female Identifying, non-binary, gender non-conforming youth
  • 12-18 years old (sessions will be offered to youth of similar age groups)
  • Those at risk of sexual exploitation/sex trafficking or those interested in learning more about how to protect themselves and their friends

At this time we are only able to deliver this program in English. We are working towards being able to deliver programs in French.
