For our organization, The Next Mile can be groundbreaking.
Social media provides traffickers with easy access to those vulnerable, especially youth. Those with the power to protect youth, including parents, teachers, and other caring community members, often don’t know how to recognize when a predator has become involved in a young person’s life. In the fight against sex trafficking, public education is critical. When our communties understand the nature of this crime, who it impacts, and what it looks like, prevention is possible.
This year, through our presentations, social media, and e-newsletters, we educated our communities on the realities of sex trafficking.
With your help, we can raise more awareness about this crime, reducing the demand, protecting those vulnerable, and supporting those who have experienced exploitation.
